Systems Engineering Named 2014 Best Places to Work in Maine

Written by Blair Colby | September 16, 2014

The Maine State Council of the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) has named Systems Engineering as one of the 2014 Best Places to Work in Maine. The awards program recognizes organizations that have established and fostered outstanding workplace environments.

“We decided to participate because we wanted to know where we stood. It’s one thing to say that you have a great workplace and culture, but it’s another to actually hear it from your teammates. The fact that we’re employee-owned makes a big difference in how our team works together and plays together. It’s our company – and we have a sense of pride and ownership in how we treat each other and, most importantly, our clients,” said Adam Victor of Systems Engineering.

Companies from across the state entered the two-part process to determine the Best Places to Work in Maine. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company's workplace policies, practices, and demographics. This part of the process was worth approximately 25% of the total evaluation. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. This part of the process was worth approximately 75% of the total evaluation. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final rankings. Best Companies Group managed the overall registration and survey process in Maine and also analyzed the data and used their expertise to determine the final rankings.

Systems Engineering will be recognized and honored at the Best Places to Work in Maine awards ceremony on October 8th and will be profiled in a special publication by Mainebiz. The official rankings will be announced at the event. For more information, please visit www.syseng.com or contact us at info@syseng.com.
