Systems Engineering is aware of the recently disclosed FortiBleed security situation, which has impacted a significant number of organizations utilizing Fortinet FortiGate devices globally. The security of our clients is our top priority, and our team has assessed the FortiBleed situation.
We have confirmed minimal exposure and are actively monitoring this situation for any indicators of compromise that may affect our client's environments. We are in direct communication with any clients we believe to have been affected.
What is FortiBleed?
FortiBleed is a large-scale credential compromise campaign that has affected an estimated 73,000–86,000 Fortinet FortiGate devices across 194 countries. It is important to note that FortiBleed is not a new vulnerability — rather, it is the result of threat actors leveraging credentials that were previously stolen through earlier security incidents, combined with brute-force attacks against devices with weak password practices and no multi-factor authentication in place.
The campaign came to light in June 2026, when a large dataset of compromised credentials was publicly disclosed, exposing administrative and VPN credentials for affected organizations worldwide.
